Executive Summary

Today’s alert is dominated by access-control failures, session hijacking risks, and a high-risk control-plane exposure in Kubernetes hosted environments. The most urgent action is to patch exposed SurrealDB and Network-AI systems immediately, then verify Konnectivity and Bizerba deployments for unsafe defaults that could expose internal traffic or grant broad file-system access.

Do not wait for exploitation reports. Several of these issues allow unauthenticated access, privilege theft, or denial of service with minimal attacker effort. Treat any internet-facing instance or shared management plane as at risk now.

Critical Vulnerabilities

CVE-2026-16242: Konnectivity proxy-server agent listener accepts unauthenticated connections

  • Impact: Attackers who can reach the Konnectivity cluster endpoint may join the routing pool as a fake agent and potentially proxy, inspect, modify, or drop control-plane-to-node traffic.
  • Affected Systems: Konnectivity proxy-server in hosted control planes where the agent-facing listener was started without --cluster-ca-cert and without token-based agent authentication.
  • Immediate Action: Restrict network access to the Konnectivity endpoint immediately and confirm whether the listener is exposed without certificate validation.
  • Mitigation: Apply the vendor fix, enable --cluster-ca-cert, require token-based agent authentication, and rotate any credentials or certificates used by the control plane.

CVE-2026-63757: SurrealDB session hijacking via unauthenticated /rpc sessions method

  • Impact: Unauthenticated attackers can enumerate session UUIDs and impersonate active users to read, write, delete data, and escalate privileges.
  • Affected Systems: SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0.
  • Immediate Action: Upgrade SurrealDB now and assume any exposed instance may have had sessions exposed.
  • Mitigation: Patch to 3.1.0 or later, invalidate active sessions, and review logs for suspicious /rpc session enumeration.

CVE-2026-64623: Network-AI APSAdapter signature check can be bypassed

  • Impact: Attackers can forge delegation payloads, bypass signature verification, and obtain permission-grant tokens for sensitive resources including SHELL_EXEC.
  • Affected Systems: Network-AI versions before 5.13.4.
  • Immediate Action: Patch immediately and disable any exposed approval or delegation interfaces until updated.
  • Mitigation: Upgrade to 5.13.4 or later and review any recently issued delegation or permission tokens.

CVE-2026-63756: SurrealDB race condition can inherit authenticated session state

  • Impact: Concurrent unauthenticated requests can inherit a legitimate user’s session and execute actions with hijacked privileges.
  • Affected Systems: SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0.
  • Immediate Action: Patch now and reduce exposure of the /rpc endpoint to trusted networks only.
  • Mitigation: Upgrade to 3.1.0 or later and watch for unusual bursts of concurrent /rpc traffic.

CVE-2026-63735: SurrealDB custom API routes ignore namespace and database scope

  • Impact: Authenticated users can reach custom API endpoints in other tenants, exposing data or triggering unintended operations across namespaces/databases.
  • Affected Systems: SurrealDB versions before 3.2.0.
  • Immediate Action: Upgrade and validate tenant isolation before allowing further production use.
  • Mitigation: Patch to 3.2.0 or later, then audit cross-tenant access patterns and custom route usage.

CVE-2026-42566: Meshtastic malformed node names can break BLE management on iOS

  • Impact: A poisoned node entry can make radios effectively unusable for iOS users by triggering BLE sync failures and retry loops.
  • Affected Systems: Meshtastic firmware prior to 2.7.23.b246bcd, especially users managing devices through the iOS app.
  • Immediate Action: Update affected firmware and check for malformed node names in the mesh database.
  • Mitigation: Upgrade to 2.7.23.b246bcd or later; if already impacted, remove poisoned entries with alternate management tools such as the Python CLI.

CVE-2026-63760: SurrealDB parser depth limit bypass can crash the process

  • Impact: Unauthenticated attackers can send deeply nested JSON to exhaust memory and crash the database process.
  • Affected Systems: SurrealDB before 3.1.0.
  • Immediate Action: Patch immediately and limit exposure of the WebSocket /rpc endpoint.
  • Mitigation: Upgrade to 3.1.0 or later and add network controls or rate limits where possible.

CVE-2026-64622: Network-AI approval inbox leaks sensitive request data

  • Impact: Unauthenticated users can read approval details including shell commands, file paths, justifications, and risk levels; cross-origin requests are also enabled.
  • Affected Systems: Network-AI versions 5.12.2 through 5.13.3.
  • Immediate Action: Restrict access immediately and patch to the fixed release.
  • Mitigation: Upgrade to 5.13.4 or later, verify authorization checks on all approval routes, and remove reliance on the exposed CORS behavior.

CVE-2026-16246: BRAIN2 setup grants Everyone full control over %ProgramData%

  • Impact: Local users may gain overly broad write access to %ProgramData%, increasing the risk of tampering, persistence, or privilege abuse.
  • Affected Systems: BRAIN2 versions prior to 3.09; also the optional Bizerba ScriptService component in some deployments.
  • Immediate Action: Check whether the affected setup or ScriptService component is installed and patch without delay.
  • Mitigation: Upgrade to 3.09 or later and remove or deprecate ScriptService where possible.

CVE-2026-16247: _connect.BRAIN setup resets %ProgramData% permissions to Everyone full control

  • Impact: Local attackers may gain broad access to %ProgramData%, enabling tampering with application data and potential privilege escalation paths.
  • Affected Systems: _connect.BRAIN versions prior to 5.06.
  • Immediate Action: Identify installed versions and schedule urgent remediation on affected Windows systems.
  • Mitigation: Upgrade to 5.06 or later and review filesystem ACLs after installation.

What to Do Now

  1. Patch first: Prioritize SurrealDB, Network-AI, Konnectivity, and Bizerba systems exposed to production or the internet.
  2. Isolate risky services: Restrict access to /rpc, approval routes, and control-plane endpoints until updates are complete.
  3. Invalidate trust: Rotate sessions, tokens, and any credentials that may have been exposed through these flaws.
  4. Check for abuse: Review logs for unauthenticated requests, session enumeration, cross-tenant access, and unusual approval activity.
  5. Verify fixes: Confirm deployed versions match the fixed releases and that authorization checks and certificate validation are active.

Verification steps: Confirm version numbers on every affected host, validate that Konnectivity requires proper certificate authentication, and test that SurrealDB and Network-AI no longer allow unauthenticated access to sensitive routes. For Windows deployments, re-check ACLs on %ProgramData% after upgrading BRAIN2 or _connect.BRAIN.

Monitoring recommendations: Alert on spikes in /rpc activity, repeated session lookups, unexpected approval reads, and any access to control-plane endpoints from non-admin networks. Watch for new or suspicious tokens, cross-origin requests to Network-AI, and filesystem permission changes under %ProgramData%.
